What will you be doing in LA (aside from driving around, which I gather is a
required activity when visiting that part of the country)?
I can imagine that the reference desk would be rather dead this time of
year, with most students home for holidays.
My vacation can only start when I finish preparing a new course I am giving
next term. It is a non-compulsory course, and up to about Dec 10 I had zero
students registered, so I was not particularly motivated to prepare it
properly. Now, however, it seems I will have 10 or 12 students, so I am in
a panic to create a proper course pack. I working on Dec 24 and 25, and
will hopefully finish then, and can take a week off.
Guillermo finished school today, so has two full weeks before going back.
Being "retired", of course vacations are an irrelevant concept to Betsey,
except that more people are home.
